LifeSpring Students
Matt and Viv Elphick - Student Co-ordinators
As student co-ordinators, we are privileged to provide support to LifeSpring students as they attend university in towns and cities across the UK. The support ranges from a short pre-university course to prepare them for what they might expect at university, through to keeping them up to date with what is happening in Reading. We meet together during each holiday to encourage each other, have some fun, hear each other's stories of Uni life and learn from one another’s experience (the good, the bad and the ugly).
For our students, university life provides a different set of challenges to living at home, especially to their faith, and whilst many seize the opportunity to share their faith with fellow students, we are aware that there are constant 'distractions' that seek to keep them from following God and pursuing His plans for their lives. We try to support them in their mission field, by praying, offering advice from our own Uni experience, and by providing a link back to LifeSpring to help them to feel 'connected' to LifeSpring.
