The Church leaders
Neville and Jackie Hollands joined LifeSpring Church when it began in 1979. A number of years later Neville was asked to join the leadership team, and in 1988 he became our first full time leader. Besides leadership responsibility at LifeSpring, Neville is also involved with Reading Christian Network - a network of leaders and churches seeking to relate and work more closely together across Reading.
Neville and Jackie were married in 1979, and have three children - James, Lisa and Emily. Neville's interests include football, trying to learn golf, fell walking, and also a bit of DIY and gardening. Jackie loves shopping and clothes!
Their vision for LifeSpring is to see it fulfill its calling of becoming a church that reaches out with the love of Jesus, and effectively disciples its members to do the same. Neville and Jackie lead LifeSpring's two primary cells.
Jon Hollands is married to Gill and they have two children, Dan and Ben, and he has been a member of LifeSpring Church since its beginning. He runs a small business with his wife Gill, employing 5 personnel in countryside contracting. Jon is a member of Neville's primary cell.
Andy Dickens is part of the leadership team of LifeSpring Church. He has been a Christian since 1991 and moved to Reading with 'Youth for Christ' for a 12 month placement. That was back in 1992 and he hasn't left yet! He is married to Debs and has three children, Luke, Jessica and Emma. His vision for LifeSpring Church, is to be a relevant and radical church, influencing communities and changing lives. Besides being on the leadership team at LifeSpring, Andy is also a member of Neville's primary cell, and oversees all the youth and children's work at LifeSpring. He also serves as a governor in a local school and is involved in selling business equipment.
